Civil Enforcement Officer

Salary starting at £17,376 per annum plus weekend enhancement

1 x full-time - 37 hours per week (4 full days 9.25 hours a day)

North Hertfordshire District Council is looking to recruit additional members of the team to undertake this important customer focussed role.

Enthusiastic and motivated individuals are required to patrol designated areas of North Hertfordshire to enforce parking restrictions, issue Penalty Charge Notices and interact with the public providing a high level of customer service on behalf of NHDC.

The successful applicants can expect to come into contact with the public on a regular basis and must be willing to work outdoors in all weather conditions.

Applicants should have excellent communication skills and experience in dealing with the general public. The ability to work independently is essential. The successful candidate must be willing to operate as part of a team on a rolling 4 day rota with occasional evening and weekend working.

Candidates will also have the ability to operate basic IT equipment and a full driving licence is desirable.

Knowledge of parking restrictions would be an advantage but not essential as full training will be provided along with a uniform.
