The Coronation of King Charles III will be celebrated around the country with a three day bank holiday weekend from Saturday 6 May to Monday 8 May 2023.
The Coronation weekend
Saturday 6 May: the Coronation Ceremony takes place at Westminster Abbey, London.
Sunday 7 May: a Coronation Concert will be performed at Windsor Castle.
Monday 8 May is the The Big Help Out, a special Bank Holiday where anyone can join in and volunteer with their local communities and good causes.
6-8 May will also see Coronation Big Lunches up and down the country.

Street parties
Hertfordshire County Council are now accepting street party applications for the Coronation weekend (6-8 May). You'll need to apply by 26 March 2023.
Street parties that close the road must only be for those living on that street.
