E-newsletter launches to help North Herts residents keep up to date
North Hertfordshire District Council (NHDC) has launched a brand new e-newsletter service, allowing residents to get the latest updates sent to them by email.
The new service allows anyone to sign up to receive a regular briefing called @NorthHerts which is a round up of all the latest news and information from NHDC. Subscribers can also select to receive updates on additional topics such as events, job vacancies, recycling, North Hertfordshire Museum, Active North Herts, and parks and countryside.
Users can sign up to receive bulletins on as many, or as few, topics as they like. Preferences can be changed at any time, including the option to instantly unsubscribe. Email addresses will not be used for any other purpose.
The service is provided through GovDelivery, which is part of Granicus, a leading communications and digital services provider for national and local government.
NHDC Leader, Cllr Lynda Needham, said, "Sending news by email allows us to alert residents to important issues faster than ever before. This can be particularly important when council services are disrupted, following severe weather or during an emergency. Email is a tried and trusted technology and we’re keen to ensure as many residents as possible are informed about our services and their local area."
