North Hertfordshire is a large rural district with approximately 125,000 residents with four historic towns, Hitchin, Baldock, Royston and Letchworth Garden City. The Council has a clear vision: to make North Hertfordshire a district in which everyone who lives, works or visits is able to flourish.
As a very experienced EPO, you will lead and shape Emergency Planning and Business Continuity for North Herts council.
You will ensure that the Council is well prepared to respond to any identified risk and is able to play it’s part by fulfilling it’s obligations, fully integrating with other responders, developing existing partnerships and forging new ones.
You will be responsible for all aspects of NHDC Emergency Planning and Business Continuity arrangements, (including training and testing) leading compliance within
all NHDC Services.
You will have substantial experience of service provision and proven experience of dealing with operational Emergency Planning issues. You will be expected to occasionally work out of usual hours.
