This year we want you to enjoy bonfire night as safely as possible, so we have created a list of things to consider when enjoying fireworks & bonfires at home.
- Stand a safe distance away from bonfires and fireworks
- Supervise harmless fireworks
- Never leave a bonfire unattended
- Don’t light fireworks in glass bottles
- If you’re having a garden bonfire, burn dry material only
- Never burn household rubbish
- Never attempt to re-light a “dud” firework
- Keep a bucket of water nearby
- Be considerate to animals and pets, keep them indoors if possible
- Let your neighbours know
