North Hertfordshire District Council is looking for an Estates Surveyor to join its expanding Commercial directorate. You will be involved in managing the Council’s property portfolio and advising the Council on property acquisitions and disposals to maximise income and capital receipts, and to generally help secure value for money.
The Commercial team is a new and exciting part of the Council. Its primary function is to respond to the financial challenges of local government and ultimately help maintain quality services for residents of North Hertfordshire. The Council’s property portfolio is fundamental to achieving this goal. The current portfolio comprises a wide variety of properties, including offices, industrial ground leases and community centres.
You will be a Member or Fellow of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) with a minimum of 2 years’ post-qualification commercial property experience. You will be a RICS Registered Valuer. Self-motivation and good communication skills are key to this role.
