March 2020: Following the Budget and the subsequent announcement from the Prime Minister, we are doing everything it can to implement the changes that have been notified. There is no need to contact us. All changes will be applied to your Business Rate account when we have received the finalised Government guidance and software updates. Coronavirus: help for businesses
Business rates (or non-domestic rates) are collected by us from businesses and others who occupy non-domestic property to contribute towards the cost of local services.
The rates are pooled by central government and then redistributed to local councils according to the number of people living in the area.
