NHDC’s Communities Team work with the Community to support groups and activities for people aged 50 and above.
The Communities Team support and facilitate groups and assist in the development of new projects, working in partnership with other agencies to provide a wide range of activities that are tailored to the needs and interests of older people.

Feeling low or stressed?
There is a free NHS service offering talking therapy and practical support for those experiencing mild to moderate anxiety, depression and other common problems. It is called IAPT (Improving Access to Psychological Therapies) and you can either refer yourself or ask your GP for a referral.
Many of the options help people look at the different situations that they find themselves in, and understand their thoughts, emotions and behaviours.
