Environmental health fees and charges

Information about the fees and charges applicable to Environmental Health can be found in the document below.

These include:

  • Housing and housing-related services
  • Environmental Protection
  • Food Safety
  • Public Health
  • Stray dog charges
  • Enforcement and compliance charges
  • Provision of documentation charges
  • Park homes fee policy

Fees and charges are an important part of the Council’s finances.  The income generated helps to reduce the overall burden on local taxpayers and assists the Council in continuing to provide important local services at a cost that is reasonable.

The Environmental Protection and Housing Team are currently reviewing their schedule of fees and charges for 2023/24.  This webpage will be updated soon.  In the meantime, should you have any queries, please phone 01462 474949 or email env.health@north-herts.gov.uk.

Fees for local authority Integrated Pollution Prevention Control (IPPC) are set nationally. They are available on the GOV.UK website.
