Coronavirus update
18 May 2020: Bulky waste items are now being collected again. To protect our crews, please do not book a bulky waste collection if your household is in isolation as a result of COVID-19, unless items can be disinfected and left safely within your boundary for up to 72 hours before collection (please do not leave items on communal land or on verges).
Bulky waste refers to items too large to fit into your refuse bin.
It is usually a piece of furniture or other item that you would take with you when you move house such as beds, sofas, TVs and white goods. It is not building or DIY waste.
Could your item be reused?
If the item you wish to dispose of is in a good condition and could be reused by someone else, consider donating it to a reuse organisation or a charity shop.
You can also try reuse internet sites (Freecycle, Freegle, Snaffleup, Preloved or many Facebook selling sites) where you list your item and if someone wants it they contact you.
