Bulky Waste Items

Bulky waste refers to items too large to fit into your refuse bin.

It is usually a piece of furniture or other item that you would take with you when you move house such as beds, sofas, TVs and white goods. It is not building or DIY waste.

Could your item be reused?

If the item you wish to dispose of is in a good condition and could be reused by someone else, consider donating it to a reuse organisation or a charity shop.

You can also try reuse internet sites (Freecycle, Freegle, Snaffleup, Preloved or many Facebook selling sites) where you list your item and if someone wants it they contact you.

Book a Bulky Waste collection

Our bulky waste collection service is £45 for up to six items. Additional non-electrical items may be added at a cost of £12 per item. Please note that electrical items will be priced at £45 each unless they are combined with other items.

Six general waste sacks comprise one bulky waste item under the service. We will collect items from households and flats only.

If you would like to arrange a collection, please contact our Waste Service Contractor on 0800 328 6023. You will be able to book and pay for this service by telephone. Please have to hand a list of the items you would like collected and a credit or debit card.

The items need to be present for collection by 7am outside your property (not in a garage or shed) and placed well away from any items and material not for collection.
