Service disruptions caused by bad weather
If your bins are not collected due to bad weather, please leave them on your boundary for up to three days following your usual collection day. If they have not been collected within this time then return them to your property and present them on your next scheduled collection day. Unfortunately we won’t be able to collect your bins any sooner than this. Please check our website or social media for details of any disruption to the service.
Disruptions are mainly due to icy roads which are unsafe for our large collection vehicles to manoeuvre on. The icy weather can also cause bin lids and contents to freeze so they cannot be emptied. If you can loosen the lid before the collection vehicles arrive this will help ensure your bin is emptied, as long as it is safe for the vehicle to access your road.
