Homelessness & Housing Advice Officer (permanent)

Salary starting from £23,820 up to £31,428 per annum, (dependent on experience)

Full time contract – 37 hours a week

We are looking for an experienced housing professional to join our Housing Options Team, based in Letchworth.

We are looking for enthusiastic, committed and proactive team players. You will have experience of working under pressure, demonstrating initiative and determination in the delivery of high quality services to customers. Experience of working in housing or a similar field is essential, as is an ability to grasp complex legal issues relating to tenancy, housing and homelessness law.

You will be working directly with the public, providing advice and assistance to those threatened with homelessness; with a strong focus on preventing homelessness and assessing homelessness applications under part VII of 1996 Housing Act.
