The North Herts Community Lottery is proud to announce a significant milestone as it celebrates its second anniversary, having raised over £25,000 to support local charities and groups.

Following the resounding success of our plastic bags & wrapping recycling trial in Knebworth, the scheme is being expanded to over 6,000 homes.

Home-Start Hertfordshire has been awarded £6,180* through our Area Forum grants – Baldock, Letchworth and Hitchin Area Forums each gave £2,060 to help the charity provide support and assistance to struggling local families.

Make sure you 'bee' part of a wildlife-loving event on Saturday 13 April at Howard Park, Letchworth, 10am to 2pm.

Nearly £3,000 has been awarded to two community groups following the Letchworth Area Forum recommendations on 28 February.

Bin collections will be one day later than usual the week beginning Easter Monday (1 April).

Come to see paintings by a trio of Britain’s most modern early 20th century artists, borrowed from museums and private collections from Cornwall to Copenhagen, Liverpool to Leeds, until 30 June at North Herts Museum, Hitchin.

Four special members of the North Herts community have been recognised for their voluntary contribution at the Chair’s, Cllr Daniel Allen, end-of-year charity evening.

On Saturday 23 March we are carrying out major IT and electrical maintenance work at our offices in Letchworth.

There is a new member of the recycling team! Paige features in a new video campaign to promote paper recycling which has been launched by North Herts and East Herts Council’s Shared Waste Service.
