This week is National Allotment Week, which runs from 9–15 August, and is the perfect opportunity to spread the word that plots are great for keeping fit, enjoying the outdoors, finding some peace and quiet and of course, growing healthy fruit and vegetables!
They are also really beneficial to help families live a healthy lifestyle, build new friendships with other allotment holders, while boosting your local community.
North Herts District Council oversees a total of 11 allotments across Hitchin and Letchworth including Burford Way, Old Hale Way, Pirton Road and Ransoms Rec in Hitchin, and Hillbrow, Radburn Way and Norton in Letchworth.
Currently there are vacancies at a number of our sites.
