Preston Neighbourhood Plan

'Made' Neighbourhood Plan

The Preston Parish Neighbourhood Plan was made on 3 April 2020. It now forms part of the Development Plan for North Hertfordshire.

Referendum

At a meeting of Cabinet on 18 December 2019 it was agreed that, subject to a series of modifications set out by the examiner, the Preston Parish Neighbourhood Plan should be subject to a referendum.

A referendum for the Preston Parish Neighbourhood Plan will be held on 5 March 2020. 

The result of the referendum was:

  • 128 votes in favour of the neighbourhood plan
  • 13 votes against

Examination

The Preston Parish Neighbourhood Plan was examined by Andrew Ashcroft between September and October 2019. The examiner's report is available to view below.

Consultations

Consultation on the second Proposed Submission Neighbourhood Plan – Regulation 16

Preston Parish Council submitted their second submission neighbourhood development plan to North Hertfordshire District Council on 11 February 2019.  Consultation took place between Tuesday 12 March and Thursday 25 April 2019.  Responses to the consultation can be viewed on our consultation portal

Consultation on 1st Submission Neighbourhood Plan - Regulation 16

Preston Parish Council first submitted a neighbourhood plan in April 2018 with consultation taking place between May and July 2018.  Responses to the consultation can be viewed through the consultation portal.

Consultation on Pre-Submission Neighbourhood Plan – Regulation 14

The draft Preston Neighbourhood Plan was published for consultation between 8 January and 18 February 2018.  It is possible to view the consultation documents using the link to the Preston Parish Neighbourhood Plan website

Neighbourhood Area Designation

The Preston Neighbourhood Plan Area was designated by Cabinet on 14 June 2016. The Parish Council was the relevant body that applied for designation. A map of the neighbourhood plan area can be found below.
