Starting from £39,120 per annum
37 hours per week with occasional evenings and weekend working
North Hertfordshire is a large rural district with approximately 125,000 residents with four historic towns, Hitchin, Baldock, Royston and Letchworth Garden City, located less than 40 miles north of London. North Hertfordshire is an exciting place to live and work.
A new, exciting opportunity has arisen at North Hertfordshire District Council for an Operations and Facilities Manager (based in Hitchin) to provide leadership and operational direction for the recently refurbished Hitchin Town Hall and the Council’s Cultural Services which includes a brand new Museum.
You will be passionate about delivering first class service to all stakeholders, whilst understanding the need for effective management to provide a Value for Money facility available to all and to deploy the existing team members to the best of their ability.
You will have experience of facility management and be able to develop and improve the services the Council currently operates in the building, by increasing the facility's overall income and controlling costs. You will understand, however, that quality of service should never be compromised in pursuit of this goal.
You will recognise the opportunity to develop the programme of events at the Museum and Hitchin Town Hall, using previous successes as a springboard from which to introduce your own initiatives, ultimately making the facility a venue of choice for the North Hertfordshire community and the wider population.
The successful applicant for this post will be background checked with the Disclosure & Barring Service (formerly the Criminal Records Bureau).
