An exciting opportunity has arisen at North Herts Council to help ensure we safeguard and protect our most vulnerable service users.  The Safeguarding Admin Assistant works with colleagues across the organisation and supports the Safeguarding Team Leader to ensure we protect children and adults throughout our services.  With a keen eye for detail you will:

  • Respond to daily queries from colleagues across the organisation providing information and support and taking advice from the Team Leader where necessary
  • Ensure our safeguarding records are accurately updated
  • Support all colleagues to keep their safeguarding learning and development up to date and maintain accurate records of all training
  • Provide admin support to our Corporate Safeguarding Group, organising meetings and taking minutes
  • Assisting with basic report writing and data analysis

The role would suit somebody who enjoys interacting with colleagues regularly, has existing admin experience and is passionate about protecting vulnerable children and adults in complex situations.  Experience in safeguarding is not required and full training will be provided.  The role can be undertaken at home or in our Letchworth offices, although attendance at our offices for team meetings and training sessions will be required at times.

Please note, the successful applicant for the above post will be background checked with the Disclosure and Barring Service.

Our excellent benefits package includes:

  • Discounts, including 50% off gym membership
  • Flexible working options including flexi scheme
  • Local Government Pension Scheme (18% employer contribution)
