Area Committee Meetings
Area Committee Meetings begin at 7.30pm. This is a formal meeting which members of the public are welcome to attend and observe without prior arrangement.
Each Area Committee meets four times a year.
One objective of these meetings is to give local Community organisations who have applied for Area Committee Grants an opportunity to present to the Councillors about the work they do, how the funding they have requested is in line with the Council’s priorities and how it will help the local community.
It is also an opportunity for councillors and residents to hear from their Town Centre Manager/BID manager on occasions.
Members of the public including representatives from Community Groups can request to speak at a meeting however, advance notice must be given by contacting the Democratic Services Manager by noon on the day of the meeting. If you would like to speak at an upcoming Area Committee meeting please contact: firstname.lastname@example.org
Please note that your request to speak is subject to the approval of the Chairman of the Committee. Each speaker will be asked to give a brief presentation which will fall under the Public Participation agenda item.
