Statement of Community Involvement (SCI)

All local planning authorities have to prepare a Statement of Community Involvement (SCI) which explains how we will involve local residents and stakeholders in the planning process.

We adopted our SCI in July 2020 but we think that it should be updated to reflect the changes in our work, away from the preparation of the Local Plan to its implementation, particularly through masterplanning for our strategic development sites.

Consultation on a revised Statement of Community Involvement – Have your say

Consultation on a revised draft SCI will take place between Thursday 11 May and 12.00pm Tuesday 27 June 2023.

You can view the SCI and make comments through our online consultation software (registration required to make comments). A copy of the SCI can also be viewed by downloading the PDF document below.

Representations to the SCI can be made:

Please be aware that all comments and representations will be made publicly available, including on our website but personal details will be redacted. Anonymous responses will not be accepted.

After the consultation, we will review the representations and a report will be considered by Cabinet later in the year.

Adopted Statement of Community Involvement
