Statement on North Herts Council election results 2023

Following the elections on 4 May 2023, results for North Herts Council have been counted and verified.

North Herts Council now has 19 Labour and Co-operative seats, 15 Conservative seats and 15 Liberal Democrat seats. This means that there is no overall control of the Council. The Council therefore remains a joint administration between the Labour and Co-operative Party and the Liberal Democrats.

Councillor Elizabeth Dennis-Harburg, Leader of the Council, remains Leader until the Annual Council meeting on 25 May, where announcements will be made about the new administration and leadership for North Herts Council.
