Whistleblowing

The Council’s Whistleblowing Policy details how employees, casual workers and agency staff can report instances of suspected wrongdoing.

It explains the protections that will be provided to those that blow the whistle. The process can also be used by Councillors.

The policy is implemented by the Council’s Monitoring Officer (Service Director - Legal and Community). It is kept under regular review to ensure that it remains fit for purpose and reflects current legislation and guidance.
