Draft Greenspace Action Plan - closing date 10 July 2022

Hertfordshire County Council's Countryside Management Service is currently developing a new Greenspace Action Plan (GAP) for Oughtonhead Common, Hitchin, on behalf of North Herts Council. GAPs are essentially map-based management plans that provide focus and direction for the running and improvement of open spaces. They provide a clear, logical process to determine the activities that should take place over a stated period of time to achieve the objectives for the site. The completed document will inform the management actions to be undertaken over the next five years.

Attached is a draft of the GAP which is being sent to relevant local stakeholders in 2022 to give you an opportunity to be involved in the engagement process.

We would welcome any comments you may have, or your thoughts on the future management of Oughtonhead Common, Hitchin. Should you have any questions or comments then please contact Michael Poole using the email address The closing date for comments on the draft GAP is 10 July 2022.
