Wellbeing Morning in Royston
Participants at a fully booked session in Royston - 15 children and their families took part in a
'Fun with food' session lead by local organisation Creative Chefs

Fancy a cuppa, biscuit and chat whilst getting any help and support you might need for generally feeling better and maybe leading a healthier lifestyle? How about free activities for you and your child where you can both make friends?

Come on down to a Wellbeing Morning in Letchworth, Hitchin or Royston, part of North Herts Council’s Healthy Hub, a free health and wellbeing support service. Whether you're looking for help accessing essential items such as food and/or medication, feeling lonely or isolated, struggling with your mental health or looking for some advice on staying healthy and well, North Herts Healthy Hub is here to support you. We have linked up with a range of services across the district and we are here to make sure you get the support that is right for you.

The sessions take place every fortnight and offer different activities for both adults and children and are completely free. While sessions are more established in Royston, they are new to Letchworth this month!

Jeanette Thompson, Legal and Community Service Director, said: "We know times have been tough for many residents through the pandemic, and some will continue to struggle with the rising costs of living. We urge those who feel they aren’t coping, who might just need a cuppa and a chat, or those who might need more practical help and support to improve their physical or mental health, to pop along and join in.

"Our Royston sessions tend to get booked up so it would be great to see the same for the new sessions in Letchworth. You don’t have to commit to more than one session but you do need to book your place beforehand. Most activities would cost money elsewhere, including your refreshments, but at these Wellbeing Mornings everything is free."

Numbers are limited so please book your place – email healthyhub@north-herts.gov.uk or call 01462 474111.
