Dangerous Structures

A Dangerous Structure is classed as any building or structure which may cause harm to a member of the public. This may include loose roof tiles, unstable garden walls or a building that has been damaged by storms, vehicle collision or fire.

If you think a building or structure in North Hertfordshire is dangerous, please contact Hertfordshire Building Control as soon as possible. If this is out of working hours (9am-5pm weekdays) please call 0300 777 4129.

For dangerous practices or workplaces (e.g. building works being undertaken without necessary scaffolding, or factories without necessary fire escapes) please refer to the Health & Safety Executive (HSE).
