Codicote Neighbourhood Plan

Examination

Andrew Mead has been appointed to undertake the examination of the Codicote Neighbourhood Plan.

The Examiner will consider whether the neighbourhood plan meets the basic conditions and the other requirements set out by law. More information about the basic conditions is set out in the Planning Practice Guidance.

The Examiner has sent a number of questions which he has asked the District and Parish Councils to respond to. The questions and the responses can be found in the document list below.

Consultation on Proposed Submission Neighbourhood Plan - Regulation 16

Codicote Parish Council submitted their neighbourhood plan to North Herts Council on 30 October 2024.

The plan sets out a vision for the Parish and includes a number of planning policies which will be used to determine planning applications within the Parish.

Consultation on the submitted neighbourhood plan took place between 10 December 2024 and 28 January 2025.

Notification

Any representation can include a request to be notified regarding North Herts Council’s decision under Regulation 19 (making a plan) to make the submitted neighbourhood plan for Codicote.

Consultation on Pre-Submission Neighbourhood Plan - Regulation 14

The Parish Council previously consulted on a draft neighbourhood plan between 7 February and 27 March 2023. Further information is available on the Codicote Neighbourhood Plan website.

Neighbourhood Area Designation

The Codicote Neighbourhood Plan was designated be Cabinet on 24 June 2014. The Parish Council was the relevant body that applied for designation. A map of the neighbourhood plan area can be found below.
