If you are part of a community group and would like to organise a community litter pick or ‘tidy up’ on public land, we have developed a Community Litter Pick Toolkit. You can download it from this page to help you plan and run it successfully.
We can provide litter pickers, high-vis and sacks for your group, and arrange the collection of your group's waste and recycling sacks. We will need the litter pickers and high-vis collected and returned to us, so we can support other groups.
Book a litter pick
It is important you let us know about your litter pick at least two weeks in advance. This is so that we can check equipment is available and book in the removal of sacks.
Please leave the sacks all together in one place, and only use the bags that we supply (bags left for collection without advance booking may be mistaken for fly tipping). Only pick litter that will fit in your sacks. If you see anything larger, leave it where it is and report it as fly tipping instead.
