Planning Reception

Please note that staff on Planning Reception are not planners and can only provide basic information.

The following services are available from Planning Reception:

Receipt of planning applications

When application documents are hand delivered via Planning Reception, they are only date stamped. The decision as to whether or not the application is valid, is made when received by the Technical Support team in Development Control

Receipt of fees for planning applications

We accept payment by:

  • Cheque payable to North Hertfordshire District Council. Cheques will be date stamped and a receipt can be provided if required.
  • Mastercard, Visa, Debit, Switch, Solo or Electron cards, either in person or over the telephone.

Receipt of additional documentation/samples

All items received are date stamped and passed to the Technical Support team for processing. Please ensure that the application number or site address is clearly marked.

Provision of planning application information and copying plans and documents

A charge is made for the printing or photocopying of planning information (see charges document below). It is our aim to supply requested documents within 48 hours. However, if the planning application was made before 2000 it may take us some time to find it. Please contact us providing full details of your request together with contact details. You will be notified as soon as the documents are available for collection.

Viewing Planning Applications

Details of planning applications are available either online or on microfiche.

It is possible to book an appointment to obtain general information from Planning Reception.
