Examination
The Council has appointed Andrew Ashcroft to undertake the examination of the Ickleford Neighbourhood Plan. The examiner has issued a note about how the examination will be conducted and a clarification note. Ickleford Parish Council has provided a response to the clarification note. The examiner will consider whether the neighbourhood plan meets the basic conditions and the other requirements set out by law. More information about the basic conditions is set out in the Planning Practice Guidance.
Consultation on Proposed Submission Neighbourhood Plan – Regulation 16
Ickleford Parish Council submitted their neighbourhood plan to North Hertfordshire District Council on 30 March 2023.
Consultation on the submitted neighbourhood plan took place between Thursday 11 May and Tuesday 27 June 2023.
The plan sets out a vision for the parish and planning policies which will be used to determine planning applications within the parish.

Consultation on Pre-Submission Neighbourhood Plan – Regulation 14
The Parish Council previously consulted on a draft neighbourhood plan between September and November 2022. Further information is available on the Ickleford Neighbourhood Plan website.
Neighbourhood Area Designation
The Ickleford Neighbourhood Plan Area was designated by Cabinet on 23 September 2014. The Parish Council was the relevant body that applied for designation. A map of the neighbourhood area can be found below.
