You cast your vote during an election at a Polling Station.
Shortly before an election you will receive a Poll Card giving the address of the polling station you should attend. At each polling station there will be a Presiding Officer and a Polling Clerk who will issue ballot papers and check the eligibility of voters when they come to the station against the Electoral Register.

On polling day, the polling stations will be open from 7am until 10pm.
If you will not be able to attend the polling station between these times you may prefer to have a postal vote or appoint a proxy.
Are you registered?
You must be on the Register of Electors to vote at your polling station. Poll cards will be sent to registered electors before polling day to notify you that an election is taking place.
